Services at Twin Lakes Therapy

Twin Lakes Therapy provides individual therapy for people navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, and patterns that feel difficult to change on their own. Sessions are available both in‑person in Eden Prairie and online throughout Minnesota. The focus is on helping clients understand the deeper emotional, relational, and behavioral patterns that shape their lives, and supporting them in building a more grounded and sustainable way of being.
Care is collaborative, steady, and rooted in the belief that people grow through clarity and connection rather than pressure or quick fixes. Twin Lakes Therapy is in‑network with many major insurance plans, making therapy accessible for individuals seeking meaningful, long‑term support.

Recovery Support and Co‑Occurring Care

Many people come to Twin Lakes Therapy with a mix of emotional, relational, and substance‑related struggles. Recovery is rarely a single‑issue experience, and it often involves patterns that have developed over years. The practice offers support for individuals in recovery from substance use or behavioral addictions, as well as those who are unsure whether their use is a problem but want to understand it more clearly.
This work focuses on exploring the underlying purpose of addictive patterns, strengthening emotional and relational resilience, and developing coping strategies that support long‑term stability. Recovery support at Twin Lakes Therapy is not a program or a curriculum. It is a relational, individualized process that honors the complexity of co‑occurring mental health concerns and the realities of long‑term change.
Clients do not need to commit to abstinence to begin. What matters is a willingness to be honest, curious, and engaged in the work of understanding themselves.

Group Therapy

Group therapy at Twin Lakes Therapy offers clients a supportive space to learn skills, connect with others, and work through shared challenges in a structured, therapist‑led setting. Our groups focus on practical tools, emotional insight, and the experience of being understood by people facing similar concerns.

Most groups are covered by insurance, and we provide clear information about eligibility and benefits before clients begin. New groups are added throughout the year based on community needs and clinician expertise.

Current groups include:

Loved Ones of Addicts

This weekly group is for people who care about someone struggling with addiction and want a place to feel supported, understood, and less alone. The group blends psychoeducation with space for sharing, helping members make sense of addiction, set healthy boundaries, and navigate the emotional impact of loving someone who is using.

Parents, spouses, partners, siblings, and adult children are all welcome. Whether you’re trying to understand a loved one’s behavior, manage the stress and uncertainty that comes with addiction, or find a healthier way to stay connected, this group offers a steady place to learn and feel supported.

The group meets weekly in the evenings and is open and continuous, so new members can join at any time. Most insurance plans cover participation.
